Focus and Scope

Jurnal Manajemen Strategi dan Aplikasi Bisnis (JMSAB) addresses the broad area of strategic management and its applications in industry and business. The journal is particularly receptive to research relevant to the practice of management within the Asian region and its effects beyond. It covers studies on how management work is done (descriptive) and/or should be done (normative) in diverse organizational forms, including for-profit/non-profit firms, private/public sector institutions, and formal/informal social networks. JMSAB encourages theoretical, empirical, and case-based contributions that advance strategic thinking and business practices.

Journal History

Jurnal Manajemen Strategi dan Aplikasi Bisnis (JMSAB) has been published since December 2018 by Lembaga Pengembangan Manajemen dan Publikasi Imperium. The journal was founded to provide a high-quality, peer-reviewed open-access platform focusing on strategic management and its cross-sectoral applications. In 2020, JMSAB reinforced its partnership with Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Jakarta (STIE Indonesia Jakarta) to expand academic collaboration and enhance regional impact. Since its inception, JMSAB has maintained a biannual schedule (June and December), and rapidly gained recognition in national and international indexing databases.

In 2022, JMSAB achieved SINTA 4 accreditation from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, reflecting its scholarly rigor and editorial quality. The journal continues to strengthen its commitment to open science, with all articles published under the Creative Commons Attribution license (CC BY), encouraging global dissemination and innovation in strategic management research.
