Instructions for Manuscript Preparation and Submission

Introduction
Peusijuek Journal of Islamic Culture and Ethics welcomes original research articles, review articles, case studies, and theoretical papers that contribute to the understanding of Islamic perspectives in culture, education, ethics, and organizational practices.
Authors are expected to adhere to international publishing standards and ethical guidelines. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review to ensure academic quality and integrity.
Before You Begin
Important: Please ensure your manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. All authors must read and comply with our Publication Ethics policy.
Manuscript Types
Research Articles
Length: 4,000-8,000 words
Structure: Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion
Original empirical studies with significant contributions to the field.
Review Articles
Length: 6,000-10,000 words
Structure: Abstract, Introduction, Systematic review, Analysis, Conclusion
Comprehensive analysis of existing literature on specific topics.
Case Studies
Length: 3,000-5,000 words
Structure: Abstract, Introduction, Case description, Analysis, Implications
In-depth analysis of specific instances or practices.
Theoretical Papers
Length: 4,000-7,000 words
Structure: Abstract, Introduction, Theoretical framework, Analysis, Conclusion
Development or critique of theoretical frameworks.
Word Count Includes:
- Main text (from Introduction to Conclusion)
- References (end of document)
- Tables and figures (if included in word count)
Note: Abstract, keywords, and appendices are not included in the word count.
Manuscript Preparation
Required Manuscript Structure
1. Title Page (Separate File)
- Full title of the manuscript
- Author names (first name, middle initial, last name)
- Institutional affiliations with complete addresses
- Corresponding author's email address and ORCID ID
- Author contributions statement
- Acknowledgments (if any)
2. Main Manuscript File
200-250 words
Structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
4-6 keywords
Use MeSH terms when applicable
Research problem
Literature review
Objectives/hypotheses
3. Methods Section Requirements
- Research design and approach
- Data collection procedures
- Sample selection and characteristics
- Data analysis methods
- Ethical approval statement (if applicable)
- Limitations of the study
Anonymization for Review
Important: The main manuscript file must be anonymized. Remove all author identifying information, including names, affiliations, and acknowledgments. Self-citations should be anonymized as "Author(s), Year" in references.
Formatting Requirements
Document Format
- Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX
- A4 paper size (210 × 297 mm)
- 2.5 cm margins on all sides
- Page numbers (bottom center)
- Double line spacing
- 12-point Times New Roman font
Headings and Sections
- Level 1: 16pt Bold, Centered
- Level 2: 14pt Bold, Left-aligned
- Level 3: 12pt Bold Italic, Left-aligned
- Level 4: 12pt Italic, Indented
- No numbering for headings
- One blank line before each heading
Tables and Figures
- Number consecutively (Table 1, Table 2)
- Descriptive titles above table
- Place at appropriate position in text
- Submit as editable text
- High resolution (300 dpi minimum)
- Common formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF
- Number consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2)
- Captions below figures
Language Requirements
Manuscripts must be in English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited before submission. American or British English is acceptable, but consistency must be maintained throughout the manuscript.
Reference Style
APA 7th Edition Format
All references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style. References should be listed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.
In-text Citations:
(Author, Year) for single author
(Author1 & Author2, Year) for two authors
(Author et al., Year) for three or more authors
Page numbers for direct quotes: (Author, Year, p. 23)
Reference List Examples:
Journal Article:
Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Page-Page. https://doi.org/xxxx
Book:
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of book. Publisher Name.
Chapter in Edited Book:

Reference Management Software
Authors are encouraged to use reference management software (EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero) with APA 7th Edition style. Ensure all references are correctly formatted and complete.

Cover Letter Requirements
A cover letter must accompany each submission and include:
- Statement that the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Brief explanation of the study's significance and contribution
- Confirmation that all authors have approved the submission
- Declaration of any conflicts of interest
- Suggestions for potential reviewers (optional)

Double-Blind Peer Review
Our journal uses a double-blind peer review process where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent experts in the field based on originality, methodology, significance, and clarity.
