<p><em>Border areas possess significant economic potential through the development of local products based on natural resources and local wisdom. Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe, particularly Tahuna, is a border region with substantial opportunities to strengthen MSMEs in fisheries, agriculture, and distinctive local food products. However, the utilization of this potential remains constrained by limited market access, technology adoption, and human resource capacity. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to identify opportunities and challenges in strengthening regional economic development through local products in border areas, using a participatory online approach. The methods employed include socialization sessions, workshops, group discussions, needs assessments of MSME actors, and question-and-answer sessions, all of which serve as indicators of participants’ level of understanding. The results indicate that local products have strong growth potential through the use of digital technology and marketing networks. Nevertheless, MSMEs continue to face challenges related to product quality, business legality, digital literacy, and limited access to financing. This program is expected to serve as a foundation for formulating sustainable MSME strengthening strategies in border areas through technological optimization and improved financial support mechanisms.</em></p>Preztika Ayu ArdhetaMaya MustikaJoko Bagio SantosoMeita PragiwaniSri Handoko Sakti

<p><em>Hypertension affects approximately 30% of the population in Sedati District, with Tambak Cemandi Village representing a community characterized by a high proportion of elderly residents. Interviews with the local midwife indicate that around 100 elderly individuals regularly participate in elderly health post (posyandu lansia) activities, the majority of whom are affected by hypertension. In response to this, a community service initiative was implemented to deliver targeted education on complementary therapy, specifically progressive muscle relaxation, as a strategy to support blood pressure and stress reduction among elderly individuals with hypertension. The intervention employed a structured approach, incorporating lectures, demonstrations, and interactive discussions. Facilitators provided direct instruction and demonstration of the progressive muscle relaxation technique, followed by participant practice to reinforce skill acquisition. Of the 68 participants, 77% exhibited hypertension with blood pressure exceeding 130/80 mmHg, and 76% reported moderate stress levels. Post-intervention, participants demonstrated the ability to independently perform progressive muscle relaxation and reported subjective improvements in comfort, with the potential for continued practice at home using facilitator-provided materials. These findings suggest that education and training in progressive muscle relaxation can enhance knowledge and self-management capabilities among elderly individuals with hypertension, supporting blood pressure control alongside pharmacological treatment.</em></p>Made Indra Ayu AstariniIra Ayu MaryutiKristina PaeSteven Aldo Marcelo

https://ejournal.imperiuminstitute.org/index.php/BERDAYA/article/view/1778
According to the Financial Services Authority (OJK), financial literacy constitutes the knowledge, skills, and confidence that influence attitudes and behaviors in decision-making and financial management to achieve financial well-being. This understanding is crucial from an early age, particularly for Generation Z, who are growing up in a digital era and facing increasingly complex financial dynamics. This Community Service (PKM) activity, conducted by lecturers from Kalbis University at SMK Handayani Manggar, East Belitung, aims to enhance students' financial literacy through direct education on personal financial management. The activity was held on December 12, 2024, using a participatory approach that covered personal financial management, the distinction between needs and wants, savings and investment, and financial management strategies tailored for Generation Z. The indicators of success for this activity were evident from the high level of enthusiasm and active participation of 85 students in discussion sessions, improved understanding shown by the students' ability to identify spending priorities, and a strong desire to implement independent personal financial recording post-activity.Siti Ruhana DaraVina Meliana

https://ejournal.imperiuminstitute.org/index.php/BERDAYA/article/view/1803
Flash floods in Aceh Tamiang Regency caused the Nurul Yaqin Mosque in Sapta Marga Village to be used as a temporary evacuation shelter, leading to severe post-disaster sanitation problems. The mosque was heavily contaminated by mud deposits and major impurities due to inadequate sanitation facilities, rendering it unsuitable for worship. This Community Service (PKM) program aims to restore the mosque’s function as a sacred place of worship and a center of community resilience. The method employed is the APKL approach (Actual, Problematic, Feasibility, and Appropriateness), implemented through outreach, education on fiqh thaharah (Islamic purification procedures), and technical cleaning using high-pressure water compressor technology. The results indicate that the mosque has been successfully cleaned and purified in accordance with Islamic law, making it fit for congregational worship again. The success indicators include the restoration of cleanliness and sanctity of the mosque, improved community understanding of purification procedures, and the reactivation of the mosque as a center for religious and social activities. Additionally, the program encourages community participation and creates economic empowerment opportunities for local youth through the use of cleaning technology to establish a sustainable vehicle washing business (doorsmeer). This program demonstrates that post-disaster mosque restoration not only addresses physical recovery but also strengthens social resilience and community economic independence.Jeri AriansyahM. https://ejournal.imperiuminstitute.org/index.php/BERDAYA/article/view/1801
The Ngedukelu Village Government faces low public awareness of household waste management, resulting in an unclean environment and potential negative impacts on health and sustainability. One simple effort to address this issue is implementing the LISA (See Garbage Pick Up) Program. This community service aims to foster socialization and instill environmental awareness among the community to realize a waste-free village. The method used in this activity is a participatory approach through direct demonstrations in collaboration with residents of Ngedukelu Village, involving 13 neighborhood units (RT) and 3 community units (RW). The activities include socialization, demonstration of proper waste management practices, and community engagement to build sustainable behavior. The results show that the implementation of the LISA Program has a positive impact on improving environmental cleanliness and increasing public awareness. The community has begun to adopt the habit of picking up scattered waste and maintaining environmental hygiene. Indicators of success include residents adopting the movement and the emergence of community initiatives to install trash bins in residential and public areas. In conclusion, this program effectively improves environmental conditions and fosters positive behavioral changes in waste management among the community of Ngedukelu Village.Prisko Yanuarius Djawaria PareMaria Editha BelaAgustina WeleSkolastika Mariana SuriJanuarius Andreas SokoMaria Febrianti LodaKristina Evanjelina ItuFransiskus Xaverius MeoGabriel RujuStefanus Clarikus Sadok

The problem of plastic waste that is difficult to overcome in the surrounding environment is a real challenge for the community. Through the Real Work Lecture (KKN) service program at SD Negeri Grabag, namely Education (Entrepreneurship Education) and the Practice of Making Keychains from Microplastics, this activity aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit while increasing awareness of the use of microplastic waste through handicraft-based entrepreneurship education. The implementation method is carried out with a participatory approach, involving students directly in all stages of making keychains made of microplastics and resins, starting from design design, material mixing, printing, to product completion. The activity partners are Grabag State Elementary School students, with success indicators in the form of active involvement of participants, the ability to produce products that are suitable for sale, and an understanding of basic concepts of entrepreneurship. The results of the activity show that students gain real experience about the production process as well as an introduction to entrepreneurial concepts, such as creativity, precision, discipline, cooperation, and responsibility for the work. The impact of this activity not only increases students' practical skills and creativity, but also fosters concern for the environment through the use of microplastic waste into products with useful and economic value. Thus, this service program contributes to the formation of early entrepreneurial character as well as environmental awareness from elementary school age.Esti Margiyanti UtamiAnisa DewiKurnia WatiMayka Nur SagitaDiah Yuniati

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), including hypertension and diabetes mellitus (DM), are increasingly prevalent health concerns with the potential to cause serious complications, such as visual impairment. Insufficient public awareness regarding early detection of risk factors remains a primary contributor to delayed treatment. The Community Service Program was designed to enhance public knowledge and awareness through educational initiatives and early detection of NCD risk factors and eye health issues. The program was conducted using a participatory, in-person approach that incorporated health education and basic health screenings. The target population comprised residents of RT 03/RW 11 Kampung Sukasukur, with the involvement of local health cadres. Success indicators included community participation rates, the effective execution of screening activities, and the identification of health risk factors. The program achieved active community engagement. Health screenings identified a high prevalence of hypertension (70%), as well as several individuals with elevated uric acid and cholesterol levels. Additionally, two cases of cataracts and multiple instances of eye complaints, such as red eyes, were detected. The program positively influenced public understanding of healthy lifestyles and the importance of early disease detection, while also generating health data for use by health cadres in subsequent interventions.Muhammad Diva PratamaIdhfi MarpatmawatiMeti KusmiatiAnisa AnisaJenisa Nadhia FadhillahNatasya Budi AuliaGina YuniartinaYulistiani YulistianiNenden Maida AyuningsihGianova Akhsan RobbanyErnawati Ningsih
