Aims & ScopeThe Journal of Psychology in Islamic Studies: An International Journal (JPIS), published by Lembaga Pengembangan Manajemen dan Publikasi Imperium (Imperium Research Institute) in cooperation with The Association of Islamic Psychology-Indonesian Psychology Association (API-HIMPSI). PIS is devoted to psychological studies of Islamic religious processes and phenomena in Islamic traditions. This journal provides a means for sustained discussion of psychologically relevant issues that can be examined empirically and concern to uniquely Islamic theoretical framework for an Islamic psychology has yet to be established. It presents articles covering a variety of important topics, such as the social psychology of Islamic studies, religious development, Islamic religious experience, Islamic religion and social attitudes and behavior, Islamic and mental health, and psychoanalytic and other theoretical interpretations of Islamic religion. The journal publishes research reports, brief research reports, commentaries on relevant topical issues, book reviews, and statements addressing articles published in previous issues.
